The Scarborough chocolatiers: the sweet battlers

Thornton’s … nice shop and staff, chocolates not great but the cafe in Westborough was always busy … Closed, leaving a large empty shop frontage, a blot on the townscape.

Amelia’s, Croft’s and Arosa luckily flying the flag for chocolate independents and how sweet that they have survived … think of them and support the independents!

Andrew Thwaite, the master chocolatier … trained in Scarborough at the old Yorkshire Coast College and helped the students of the now TEC to create amazing craftsmanship at the Michelin Star dinner with Andrew Pern and James Mackenzie.
