The anecdotal relocation tales of recent years regarding Scarborough’s central post office at Aberdeen Walk could become reality … maybe moving into WH Smith’s (another famous victim of retail centralisation). The post office been at various locations in the town centre including Huntriss Row and the seafront.

If it does relocate, this building needs respect, esp as the sorting office adjoining it could also go, and with the unused former nightclub buildings nearby, it would be ripe for wholescale redevelopment from Westborough to the 1882 old newspaper office.
